The State Affairs Committee considered SENATE JOINT                            
RESOLUTION NO. 39 Proposing an amendment to the Constitution                   
of the State of Alaska to guarantee, in addition to the right of the           
people to keep and bear arms as approved by the voters at the time             
of ratification of the state Constitution, that the individual right to        
keep and bear arms shall not be denied or infringed by the state or            
a political subdivision of the state.  Signing do pass:  Senator               
Leman, Chair, Senator Taylor.  Signing no recommendation: Senator
